Rhinoplasty: Modern Techniques for a Natural Look
Modern rhinoplasty techniques make it possible to achieve natural and harmonious results. But which technique is right for you?
Rhinoplasty surgery has become one of the most preferred aesthetic operations in recent years. However, successful rhinoplasty requires not only technical skill but also an artistic perspective and deep mastery of facial anatomy. At our clinic, we perform rhinoplasty applications specially designed for each patient's facial structure.
Natural appearance is the most important goal of modern rhinoplasty. No one wants artificial-looking noses where it is obvious they had surgery anymore. Instead, results that are harmonious with the person's facial features, do not impair breathing function, and provide a natural appearance are preferred. Therefore, the pre-operative planning phase is extremely important.
During the pre-operative evaluation process, we have detailed discussions with our patients. In these discussions, our priority is to understand the person's expectations and set realistic goals. Using digital simulation technologies, we show our patients the possible post-operative results. This way, both the patient and the surgeon move forward toward the same goal.
Closed technique rhinoplasty is one of the most preferred methods today. In this technique, all incisions are made from inside the nose, so there are no external scars. The healing process is faster and swelling is less visible. However, the closed technique may not be suitable for every case. In some situations, the open technique may be preferred.
In open technique rhinoplasty, a small incision is made from the area called the columella at the tip of the nose. This technique allows the surgeon to see the nasal structure more clearly and make more precise interventions. The open technique is especially preferred in revision surgeries or complex cases. The incision scar becomes almost invisible over time.
The Piezo technique is one of the newest methods used in rhinoplasty. It allows precise cuts to be made in bone tissue using ultrasonic vibrations. Thanks to this technique, only bone can be worked on without damaging soft tissues. Post-operative swelling and bruising are less visible, and the healing process is accelerated.
The preservation rhinoplasty approach is a concept that has gained importance in recent years. In this approach, the natural support structures of the nose are preserved as much as possible. Cartilage and bone tissue are not unnecessarily removed, only reshaped. This way, more stable and natural results are obtained in the long term.
Breathing function is an issue that should not be overlooked in rhinoplasty. A beautiful nose should also allow good breathing. During surgery, if there is a septum deviation, it is corrected, and the internal nasal structures are optimized. Thus, both aesthetic and functional improvement is achieved.
Post-operative care is critically important for successful results. In the first week, a splint remains on the nose, and rest is recommended during this time. For two weeks, you should avoid heavy activities and stay away from sun exposure. The healing process is monitored with regular check-ups, and necessary interventions are made.
